Privacy policy
What we collect, and why
Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.

Who this covers
This policy covers people who use a service point, people who run one, and anyone who contacts us through this website. Your own bank has its own privacy policy, which covers what it does with your account.
What we collect
When a customer uses a service
- The type of service, the amount, and whether it completed
- A reference number for the transaction
- Which service point handled it, and when
When a shopkeeper becomes a service point
- Name and contact details
- Business name and address
- Identity and business documents required to offer banking services
- Bank account details for paying earnings
When you contact us
- Your name, email, and phone number if you give it
- What you wrote to us
What we deliberately do not keep
Some information is needed to complete a service and for nothing afterwards. Keeping it would create a risk with no benefit, so it is not retained:
- PINs. A customer enters their own PIN. It is never visible to the service point and is not stored.
- Fingerprint data used to confirm identity.
- Full card numbers.
Why we collect it
- To complete the service you asked for.
- To answer questions afterwards — yours, a service point's, or a bank's.
- To pay service points what they have earned.
- To meet legal obligations that apply to banking services, including checks on who may operate a service point.
- To detect misuse and act on it.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary:
- With banks and payment partners, to complete a service and settle it
- With the service point that handled a transaction, limited to that transaction
- With regulators, auditors and law enforcement where we are required to
- With suppliers who help us run the service, under obligations to protect it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Transaction records are kept for as long as banking rules require, because they are what lets a question be answered years later. Enquiries sent through this website are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Records relating to a service point are kept for the length of the relationship and the retention period that applies afterwards.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete information, where we are not required to keep it
- Explain why we hold something
Ask through the contact form or by email. We may need to confirm your identity first — precisely so that nobody else can ask for your information.
Keeping it safe
Access to records is restricted to people who need it for their work, and what they do with them is logged. Information that does not need to be kept is not kept, which is the most reliable protection available.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you rather than rely on you re-reading this page.
