How it works
From enquiry to your first customer
No jargon and no surprises. Here is what actually happens, what we need from you, and roughly how long each part takes.
Getting started
Becoming a service point
You get in touch
Tell us where your shop is and what you already do. We will be straight with you about whether there is enough demand nearby to make it worthwhile.
We check the basics
Identity and business details, and the bank account your earnings will go to. This is a requirement of offering banking services, not paperwork for its own sake.
Your counter is approved
Once the checks pass, your counter is set up and you receive your sign-in details.
Training
We walk you through each service, what to do when something is refused, and how to answer the questions customers ask most.
You serve your first customer
Start with balance enquiries to build confidence, then move on to withdrawals.
Timings are typical rather than guaranteed — a missing document is the usual reason a counter takes longer to go live.
What you need
Less than most people expect
If you run a shop with a reliable internet connection, you are most of the way there.
A fixed place of business
Identity and address documents
A bank account in your name
An internet connection
Day to day
What running a counter actually involves
Opening up
Sign in at the start of the day and confirm you are ready to trade. Takes a minute.
Serving customers
Two to three minutes per service, most of which is the customer deciding how much they need.
Closing the day
Check the day's transactions and earnings. Anything that did not complete is clearly marked so you can follow it up.
When something goes wrong
The part most people do not ask about until it happens
Occasionally a service will not complete. What matters is that you know where you stand and what to tell the customer.
A service is refused
You are told the reason in plain words — not a code — so you can explain it to the customer at the counter.
A service does not finish
It is marked clearly rather than left looking successful. You will know not to hand over cash.
A customer disputes something later
Every service leaves a record you can look up, with a reference our support team can trace.
You need a person
Support is reachable by phone during business hours, and every enquiry gets a reference you can follow up with.
