Questions people actually ask
Split into two: what customers ask at the counter, and what shopkeepers ask before they sign up.
If you are a customer
Is it safe to withdraw cash at a shop?
The service only completes when you are there and confirm your identity yourself — with a
fingerprint, or with your card and your own PIN. A shopkeeper cannot do it on your behalf,
and cannot see your PIN. You agree the amount before anything moves, and you get a receipt.
Will I be charged?
Where a service carries a charge, the counter must tell you before you agree, and that is
the only amount you pay. If a counter asks for anything extra on top, that is not allowed —
please tell us.
The money left my account but I did not get cash. What now?
Keep your receipt and go back to the counter first, as it can often be resolved there. If it
is not, contact us with the reference on your receipt. Every service leaves a record we can
trace, and a complaint about a counter does not go through that counter.
Do I need a smartphone?
No. That is much of the point. You need your bank account, and either your fingerprint or
your debit card.
Which banks work?
Most major banks are supported. If your account is with a smaller bank, ask at the counter —
they can check in a few seconds.
If you run a shop
Do I need banking experience?
No. Most of our counters are ordinary shops. Training takes about half a day and covers the
services, what to do when something is refused, and the questions customers ask most.
How long does it take to get started?
Usually about a week from first call to serving customers, most of which is the identity and
business checks. A missing document is the usual reason it takes longer.
How much will I earn?
It depends on the service, how busy you are and the territory. We will give you a realistic
figure on the first call, based on a normal day rather than a best case. If it does not add
up for your shop, we will say so.
When do I get paid?
Commission is recorded against each completed service as it happens, so you can check the
day's earnings the same day. Payouts go to a bank account verified in your name, on an
agreed cycle.
What if a service does not complete?
It is marked clearly rather than left looking successful, so you know not to hand over cash.
You earn nothing on it, and you are not charged for it either.
Can I stop?
Yes. Tell us and we will close your counter and settle what you are owed. There is no
lock-in.
Still stuck?
If your question is not here, ask us directly. If it is a complaint about how a counter treated you, use the grievance process — it does not go through the counter you are complaining about.
